THE POSITION

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Kaikoura team.
Based out of our Hapuku Quarry, Kaikoura for a fixed term of 6 to 9 months.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

– Will operate our Load Scan system for materials leaving the quarry.
– Will undertake data entry, invoicing, client reports and company reports.
– Will demonstrate initiative and possess great communication skills.
– Will be motivated and organised to work unsupervised.
– Will have experience with invoicing systems and be computer literate.
– Will have a strong focus on Health and Safety in the workplace.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1.     Training with incumbent December 2022 – Mid February 2023

2.     Assisting with Kaikoura site safe operations

3.     Advise of potential risks to people, plant and environment

4.     Work in a professional manner at all times with all parties

5.     Keep office area in a clean state at all times

6.     Managing the operation of the Office systems, including:

a.     Invoicing

b.     Filing

c.     Phone calls with clients and team members

d.     Data collection (Pre-Starts, Waybill Dockets, Production Sheets, etc)

e.     Specific reports (client stock reports, etc)

f.      Client Bookings

g.     Client Purchase Order Management

h.     Internal reports and documentation completed and filed

7.     Load Scanner Operations (clients, products, sales demands, load out entries)

8.     Communicate clearly with quarry team via radio’s supplied

9.     Ensuring security of information

10.  Cash Sales lodged and paid for (electronic)

11.  Office stationery purchases

12.  Team PPE purchases

13.  Collating and supplying documentation

14.  Assisting with material testing on site

15.  Driving of company utility vehicles (minimum Class 1 licence required)

16.  Supporting Tim Ford and Daryl McMillan

17.  Perform other functions as requested or required

18.  Own transport required

19.  Fixed Term Contract for 6-monrhs (28/11/022 – 26/05/2023)

a.     Possibility for a 3-month extension

Hours of Work:

9:00am to 3:30pm

– Will be experienced at operating earthmoving machinery and ideally have some mobile
crushing experience
– Will be able to work well in a team environment.
– Will demonstrate initiative and possess great communication skills.
– Will keep their machine well presented and maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
– Be prepared to spend periods working away from home for the mobile crushing jobs.
– Will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and drug test.
